Our Big 6 year old

It is hard to believe that our little man turned 6.  It was a tough birthday for mommy.  When he turned 6 it was also close to the last few days of Kindergarten and I started to realize that he is moving onto a new chapter in his life.  He turned 6 and then started all day school.  This is why I was having a hard time!  Once he turned 6 it seemed like a light switch flipped in him and he became a little man.  He became more independent!  He keeps asking "why can I not just make my own choices?"  We are loving seeing him develop into the handsome little man that God has created him to be.  He is sweet, caring, loving and loves the Lord.  We feel so blessed that we are his parents and can not wait to see who he becomes in the future.  We love you monkey!

Daddy built one of those photo things for his party!  Love having a handy daddy!

Memorial Day Weekend

We are not really the family that takes off for the 3 day weekends much.  We usually stay home and do stuff around here that needs to get done or we try to go and see places that we have not been to before.  Well this year for Memorial day weekend we were invited by some good friends to go to Pacific Beach with them for the weekend.  We had a blast.  The weather was not good but I am really okay with that.  The kids got the chance to hang out with some amazing people from our church that put up with them and their craziness:)  Thank you Goldsberry's for inviting us.  We had a blast!

Cousin's Birthday

So my brother and I each have 2 kids which most of you know.  Their oldest it 4 1/2 months older than Elliott and their 2nd is 4 weeks younger than Edith.  It is always so fun to have them around and a little tiring at the same time.  It is almost like having 2 sets of twins!  Well this year, Wes made the T man his desk just like all the other kids have.  We decided on the colors and now I am obsessed with the color combo.  Many of you may know the color combo as the Sounders or the Seahawks.  We are not huge fans of either, so we just like them because the are "happy colors" as the kids say.
It is Navy Blue on the Bottom and Lime green on the top with the original laminate

Fun times with the cousins!
Again always fun to get the kids together!  Happy 3rd Birthday T man!

First Rainier's Game of the Season

Wes' company decided to get tickets for the opening home game of the Tacoma Rainier's this year.  It was in April and needless to say it was not nice.  We kept checking to see if it was going to be canceled due to rain and unless it is horrible they do not cancel.  I guess being in Washington they would have to cancel a lot of games if it was just rain:)  Well we packed up the rain gear and stopped for hot coffee and cocoa and headed out.  When we got there we were so close to having our seats undercover, luckily it was not a crowded game and we moved up a couple rows and got into the covered seats.  We tried to last the whole game but daddy and I were so cold we finally convinced Elliott to leave and go get dessert.  Here is what it looked like

Pizzokie at BJ's for dessert!  We did convince him to share a little with mommy and daddy:)

Easter with the Family

This year we decided to add a little Easter egg hunt to our weekend.  On Saturday before Easter, the Puyallup Nazarene Church held an egg hunt for the kids.  They were advertising thousands of eggs and fun.  It ended up being a pretty nice morning.  They had a waffle breakfast, bouncy houses and the egg find as Elliott calls it!
Waiting for the find to begin

Nothing better than ending our fun morning with a little bouncing!

Sunday morning we got up and of course headed to church to celebrate our Risen Lord.  Our kids department always has a little hunt for the kids as well with some candy and toys.  They have to keep the eggs at the church which I am fine with because what family needs hundreds of plastic eggs.  After church we waited for the cousins to come down and play and just be a family.  We tried to get some good pictures of the 4 of us and of just the kids and this is the best we got this year.

While waiting for the cousins, we had our egg hunt at home.  Daddy had fun hiding eggs for Elliott this year.

The cousins and the Easter Bunny finally got to our house and it is always fun to see what type of pictures come out of the 4 of the kids.  Here is this years.

We LOVE our big cousin!

First Hockey game for Elliott

For New Years day this year we had a movie day and we finally broke out some of our old favorite movies for Elliott to watch.  We watched the Might Duck movies.  Elliott fell in love with Hockey, yes we know that it was a movie but that was the closest that he has been to a hockey game.  We decided that we would take him on a mommy daddy date and it just so happens that we have some great friends, the Tavern family who are really into hockey!  We got to talking about it with them and decided to take the kids to a Thunderbird Hockey game.  Leila has been to several games, but this was Elliott's first.  She was excited to share this experience with him as were we.  Erin got us some great tickets about 4 rows up from the ice.  Chris decided to to sit with the kids so that he could protect them if a puck came flying over the glass.  This did happen a couple of times but not by us.  Thanks Chris for being willing to sacrifice yourself for the good of the Children.  The Thunderbird's ended up loosing but we still had fun.  Here are a few pictures from our event.
First thing we saw when we got into the stadium was Cool Bird
Getting ready for the National Anthems.  Both times Wes and I have been to a Hockey game it has been against a team from Canada.

Leila has had a Cool Bird snugglie for awhile and we were able to find Elliott one.  He was so happy!

They lost interest for awhile and took a coloring break

Our seats were right by where Cool Bird hangs out a lot.  The kids were super excited!

At the end of the night we were leaving and Elliott noticed the mirrors on the ceiling and asked why the people were walking on the ceiling.  We thought it was pretty funny so we took a picture of us from the ground.

Good friends having a great time!
Thank you Tavern family for a great memory.  Elliott is already asking when we get to go back next year!

Our Baby Girl is 3!

It is so hard to believe that it has been 3 years since God blessed us with our little princess.  We are so lucky to have her in our lives and we are here to tell you that she most definitely lives up to the princess name.  She is so talkative and loves her big Brothered as she calls him.  She loves pink and purple, playing with her dollies, being outside, playing dress up and getting dirty.  She is a good mix.  She has made our lives so complete and we cherish every minute that we get to spend with her.  She is a daddy's girl when she wants to be and all she want to do is play with her brother when he allows her to.  God has given us a precious little girl and we thank him everyday for allowing us to be her parents.  We love you princess and can not wait to see the beautiful child of God that you will become.  Happy 3rd Birthday!

Our big 3 year old!

She was very into opening her own presents this year!
The only present Mommy got to help with!

She chose cupcakes with ice cream cones on them to look like castles.  Before I could get a picture all the kids had eaten the cones:)

For Party favors we had the kids decorate their own crowns, made wounds, made coloring books and gave each kid a box of Crayola Crayons.

Mimi & Papa sent her this beautiful bouquet of roses on her birthday.

For the past few birthdays I have made the kids decorations with the help of my hubby.

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us.  Without the family, I am not sure we would make it through life as smoothly as we do!  We love you all and love that you love our kiddo's!

Port Townsend

So our family has 2 favorite places to go, the ocean and the beach.  When we talk about going to the beach, the kids know that we are going to Port Townsend.  My mom's side of the family has a beautiful house on Discovery bay that they so graciously allow us to use when they are not using it.  We decided to pack up and go for the long weekend in February.  The weather was not horrible but is was not great.  I love being at the beach or ocean when it is stormy and just cuddling up watching the rain or playing games.  This trip was no different.  The kids had a blast playing, watching movies, and we were even able to venture over to Sequim to go through the Olympic Game Farm.  It is a trip where our family made some more great memories!

This is the face we get a lot of from Edith when we try to take her picture

The Olympic Game Farm.  Edith was doing great just ridding along until we came upon the Llama's.  They were a little to close to her through the window.

This guy was my favorite!  I know it is not a good idea but I wanted to sneak him home with me because he looks so cuddly!  I love bears!

The bunnies were the only animal that Edith would feed because they were on the ground and could not reach the window:)

My 3 favorite people!  I love them all so much and cherish every experience we get to share.  I am blessed!!

This is the view from the house!

Thank you again Ross family for allowing us to be a part of your family and sharing in the wonderful house.  We are Blessed to call you family!  Looking forward to many more memories!
