First Hockey game for Elliott

For New Years day this year we had a movie day and we finally broke out some of our old favorite movies for Elliott to watch.  We watched the Might Duck movies.  Elliott fell in love with Hockey, yes we know that it was a movie but that was the closest that he has been to a hockey game.  We decided that we would take him on a mommy daddy date and it just so happens that we have some great friends, the Tavern family who are really into hockey!  We got to talking about it with them and decided to take the kids to a Thunderbird Hockey game.  Leila has been to several games, but this was Elliott's first.  She was excited to share this experience with him as were we.  Erin got us some great tickets about 4 rows up from the ice.  Chris decided to to sit with the kids so that he could protect them if a puck came flying over the glass.  This did happen a couple of times but not by us.  Thanks Chris for being willing to sacrifice yourself for the good of the Children.  The Thunderbird's ended up loosing but we still had fun.  Here are a few pictures from our event.
First thing we saw when we got into the stadium was Cool Bird
Getting ready for the National Anthems.  Both times Wes and I have been to a Hockey game it has been against a team from Canada.

Leila has had a Cool Bird snugglie for awhile and we were able to find Elliott one.  He was so happy!

They lost interest for awhile and took a coloring break

Our seats were right by where Cool Bird hangs out a lot.  The kids were super excited!

At the end of the night we were leaving and Elliott noticed the mirrors on the ceiling and asked why the people were walking on the ceiling.  We thought it was pretty funny so we took a picture of us from the ground.

Good friends having a great time!
Thank you Tavern family for a great memory.  Elliott is already asking when we get to go back next year!

Our Baby Girl is 3!

It is so hard to believe that it has been 3 years since God blessed us with our little princess.  We are so lucky to have her in our lives and we are here to tell you that she most definitely lives up to the princess name.  She is so talkative and loves her big Brothered as she calls him.  She loves pink and purple, playing with her dollies, being outside, playing dress up and getting dirty.  She is a good mix.  She has made our lives so complete and we cherish every minute that we get to spend with her.  She is a daddy's girl when she wants to be and all she want to do is play with her brother when he allows her to.  God has given us a precious little girl and we thank him everyday for allowing us to be her parents.  We love you princess and can not wait to see the beautiful child of God that you will become.  Happy 3rd Birthday!

Our big 3 year old!

She was very into opening her own presents this year!
The only present Mommy got to help with!

She chose cupcakes with ice cream cones on them to look like castles.  Before I could get a picture all the kids had eaten the cones:)

For Party favors we had the kids decorate their own crowns, made wounds, made coloring books and gave each kid a box of Crayola Crayons.

Mimi & Papa sent her this beautiful bouquet of roses on her birthday.

For the past few birthdays I have made the kids decorations with the help of my hubby.

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us.  Without the family, I am not sure we would make it through life as smoothly as we do!  We love you all and love that you love our kiddo's!

Port Townsend

So our family has 2 favorite places to go, the ocean and the beach.  When we talk about going to the beach, the kids know that we are going to Port Townsend.  My mom's side of the family has a beautiful house on Discovery bay that they so graciously allow us to use when they are not using it.  We decided to pack up and go for the long weekend in February.  The weather was not horrible but is was not great.  I love being at the beach or ocean when it is stormy and just cuddling up watching the rain or playing games.  This trip was no different.  The kids had a blast playing, watching movies, and we were even able to venture over to Sequim to go through the Olympic Game Farm.  It is a trip where our family made some more great memories!

This is the face we get a lot of from Edith when we try to take her picture

The Olympic Game Farm.  Edith was doing great just ridding along until we came upon the Llama's.  They were a little to close to her through the window.

This guy was my favorite!  I know it is not a good idea but I wanted to sneak him home with me because he looks so cuddly!  I love bears!

The bunnies were the only animal that Edith would feed because they were on the ground and could not reach the window:)

My 3 favorite people!  I love them all so much and cherish every experience we get to share.  I am blessed!!

This is the view from the house!

Thank you again Ross family for allowing us to be a part of your family and sharing in the wonderful house.  We are Blessed to call you family!  Looking forward to many more memories!

Christmas 2012

Okay so I am a few months behind but some of you just got your Christmas cards as well!  Christmas is my FAVORITE holiday and it is even more special with kids!  Every year my mom and dad host a Christmas eve party with friends and family so that is like the beginning of our Christmas.  We look forward to it every year.  We are always there late and this year was no different.  We left about 10:00 and the kiddo's fell asleep in the car on the way home.  We still had to put our Santa Key our because we do not have a chimney and we had to leave Milk and Cookies for Santa!  Yes we still do that:)  Here is the best picture we could get of the kids and the key.  Edith was so done and ready for bed!
We are still lucky that our kids are little and do not feel the need to get up super early!  I wish I could say the same for my hubby:)  When they finally did wake up we headed downstairs to see what Santa had left us.  They were at good ages this year!

Waiting for the okay to come down!
Seeing what Santa left for them
Edith was more excited about her new Princess book than the super cute baby that she got
Seeing what was in their stocking
Elliott got his first Pocket Knife!  Do not worry, it is plastic.  It can however cut through cardboard:)

Santa was even able to find a Storm Trooper and Darth Vader sweatshirt

Wes' parents game over for a little bit and Elliott was excited to show Grandpa his pocket knife

After we had Christmas at our house we packed up the kiddo's in new jammies and headed to Mimi & Papa's (my parents) and did Christmas with them and my brother and his family.  It is always a fun time when we get together.  There were even more presents and the ones that Elliott was really looking for!

Edith got an amazing doll house from Santa
All he wanted were Switch and Go Dino's.  Santa did not bring any to our house and you would have thought it was the end of the world.  He did however bring them to Mimi & Papa's:)
We got a Dress up box from Auntie & Kuncle and could not wait to try stuff on!
Finishing opening up presents as a princess
Daddy playing with Elliott's toys:)
Kuncle is super excited to share his Star Wars obsession with his nephew and Elliott is happy to help!

Once again it was a very quick Christmas and a very memorable one.  It always seems to take forever to get here and then is over in a flash.  We are looking forward to many more Happy Christmas's!
